Siblings: Two younger sisters, both of which are only teenagers. Ward is very protective of them and would do anything for either of them.

Early life: Ward grew up in South Boston, close with his family and extended family. He often visited his grandparents in Brooklyn and picked up a slight accent from them, combined with his natural Boston accent. In middle school, his father began to teach him how to brew. He became very skilled at it and also began to learn to carve. Early into highschool, his father had a heart attack and died almost immediately, leaving him with his younger sisters. Ward had to take up a job to support them, making his grades drop immensely. He repeated the 11th grade, where he met Fran Lancaster. Ward took to her almost immediately, even from her rough appearance. Fran had braces, acne and wasn’t exactly the happiest. Having moved in with her brothers when her parents divorced, Fran was usually rude and angry. The summer that she took up track, Ward began to fall for the rude, young woman. She took up track to stay away from her brothers, who kept her under constant visual. Ward, of course, attended every track meet when he could, even skipping work or shirking his school work to see her. When Fran turned 18, he asked her to marry him. They had never even dated. She agreed, but ward left before they could set a date. He looks forward to seeing her, even as an opponent.

She’s honestly one of the only people he will talk to continually, besides people he finds interesting or different. She’s short a short, brown haired loud mouth who can’t seem to keep herself the same for more than a week.
